MY COVID-19 BIG FAT ART DUMP

OK, WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER? I don’t know about you but I’m experiencing a TON of anxiety. I would have initially thought the art would be flowing out of me. But to be frank, it isn’t. These are terrifying times and when you have kids. It’s even more so. My best friend almost died from this virus. My wife’s uncle tested negative, but with all the uncertainty these tests have with False Negatives/False Positives, it’s hard to know. He was also hospitalized with the exact same symptoms that others infected with Covid-19 had. Luckily, he his now back home and is self quarantining as well. Talking to them about their experiences are harrowing to say the least. Both are very healthy, and yet, they still had been hit hard by this virus. Stay quarantined, create art and try to brighten up some one else’s day. That’s all I feel I can do, and yet I feel helpless. But I am also grateful the rest of my close circle of friends and family are well. If you are reading this, I hope the same goes for you and your family. So here is my second art dump. A smattering of digital and oil paintings and sketches. Enjoy and stay safe out there! - Doug

One of my paintings going in the Rawls Gallery Group Exhibition.

This plein air was of Gilfillan Farm, Pennsylvania, an amazing place to paint.  Quite a few buildings and fields and in the earlier autumn it the colors came alive.

"Gifillan Farm" 9x12 oil on board.
